Job description

We are looking for a Test Engineer to build test solutions for manufacturing the electronic platform that underpins our autonomous vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of tests for critical components including custom PCIe devices, networking solutions, and other PC components. You will work cross-functionally with our electrical engineering and software teams to develop and test new products and technologies. We are looking for an engineer who is curious, enthusiastic, and not afraid to embrace new technologies. The ability to work independently and organize work around schedules and critical deadlines is a definite plus., * Build and release test solutions for use for early bring-up activities

  • Work cross-functionally to implement the correct test coverage and process across all phases of manufacturing (PCBA, module, system, vehicle)
  • Support the test and validation of prototype designs
  • Establish best practices and drive continuous improvement for improving test execution, test runtime, and yield

Requirements

  • 6 8 years of industry experience with hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of complex software systems
  • Strong knowledge of Python and shell (Bash) scripting, along with strong Git proficiency including workflows, conflict resolution, branching, and merging
  • Experience with Linux platforms and debugging failures using command line tools such as lshw and ssh, plus knowledge of manufacturing and testing electronic assemblies, * BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent technical degree
  • 6 8 years of industry experience
  • Hands-on experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging complex software systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and testing electronic assemblies; knowledge of NPI testing and validation is a strong plus
  • Strong Git proficiency (Git workflows, conflict resolution, advanced branching and merging, history manipulation)
  • Strong knowledge of Python and shell (Bash) scripting; experience with other programming languages such as C++ is beneficial
