Primary Purpose of Position The Marketing Technology Manager is responsible for developing marketing and technology strategies and implementing marketing efforts for Digital and Professional Learning, including websites, marketing automation, and analytics. Websites: The position will support the development and maintenance of the unit’s web presence, including the development of new web pages on the WordPress platform and lead governance and upkeep on existing DPL websites. The position will assist with the migration of websites currently on the Drupal CMS platform to WordPress. Marketing Automation: The position will deliver marketing automation as the administrator of our marketing automation tool (Salesforce Marketing Cloud or SFMC), including one-off email campaigns and orchestrating automated communication journeys. Analytics: This position will help to measure the effectiveness and results of executed campaigns through analytical tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) and Salesforce. Minimum Education/Experience, The Marketing Technology Manager is part IT specialist and part integrated marketing specialist who serves on the Marketing and Communications (MarComm) team of UNC Charlotte’s Digital and Professional Learning (DPL). The professional must understand marketing tactics such as search engine optimization, search engine marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, and email marketing, as well as the technology we use to implement them. The position will support the development and maintenance of the unit’s web presence, including the creation of new web pages and landing sites on the WordPress platform and lead governance and upkeep on existing and legacy DPL websites and pages. The position will assist with the migration of websites and pages currently on the Drupal CMS platform to WordPress. Additionally, the position will deliver marketing automation as the administrator of our marketing automation tool (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), including one-off email campaigns and orchestrating automated communication journeys. Finally, the position will help to measure the effectiveness and results of executed campaigns through analytical tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) and Salesforce. The position will be responsible for integrations and maintenance of products that the marketing team uses for campaign research and execution. Other Work Responsibilities Stays current on the digital marketing/ marketing technology landscape to ensure that the MarComm team can support best-in-class strategies for upcoming initiatives Participate in University communication meetings as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Note: Some state job postings state you can qualify by an ‘equivalent combination of education and experience.’ If that language appears above, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both., * Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining websites within a content management system (CMS), including CSS customization, theme development, and responsive web design.

  • Professional certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or another recognized marketing automation platform, or demonstrated proficiency through relevant training and professional experience.
  • Professional certification in Google Analytics or a comparable analytics platform, or demonstrated proficiency in web analytics and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and optimizing automated marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, customer journey development, responsive HTML email creation, and campaign performance measurement.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating and leveraging CRM, CMS, marketing automation, and analytics platforms to support lead generation, enrollment marketing, reporting, and data-informed decision-making., 3. * Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience?
  • Yes - Bachelor’s degree or Higher in a relevant field
  • Yes - Associate’s degree with at least two years relative experience to the position
  • Yes - High School/GED with at least four years relative experience to the position
  • No 4. * Please describe your hands-on experience working within a content management system (CMS), including the specific platforms you have used and your experience with CSS, theme customization, and responsive web design.
