Principal Rust Engineer - Up to $280,000 Base Salary + Benefits

(Remote in the U.S. - Pacific or Mountain Time Zones Required)

A leading SaaS company is seeking a Principal Rust Engineer to shape the core architecture of a groundbreaking enterprise platform from its inception.

This greenfield opportunity lies within a high-growth organization with over 6,500 employees and billions in annual revenue. The platform is in its early stages, and the company is assembling a small, elite team of Rust engineers to define its future. Starting with a core group of 8 engineers, the team is set to scale to 100, with the Principal Rust Engineer playing a central role in this expansion.

Qualifications Sought:

  • Deep expertise in Rust, particularly Async programming, combined with a strong systems background (experience in C, C++, or low-level Java is advantageous).
  • A demonstrated history of guiding systems from initial design through production and ongoing maintenance.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced settings with evolving priorities.
  • Ability to balance technical execution with strategic, product-focused thinking.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $150,000 - $285,000 (based on experience and location).
  • Bonus and/or equity potential.
