Acid Tango is a digital product studio.We transform our clients ideas into digital products, with a focus on digital innovation and bringing disruptive ideas to life.In every project, we search for the perfect harmony between simplicity, aesthetics, and technology.Were currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our team.Youll help build and evolve modern observability platforms that provide visibility into complex distributed systems.Youll work on instrumentation, monitoring, metrics, logging, and data pipelines that enable engineering teams and business stakeholders to make better decisions based on reliable operational data.What youll doDesign and implement observability solutions using Datadog and OpenTelemetry.Instrument applications to collect technical and business metrics.Build dashboards and monitoring solutions that provide actionable insights for engineering and business teams.Define and implement KPIs, SLIs and SLOs in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.Design structured logging strategies and metrics collection pipelines.Analyze logs, traces and metrics to improve system reliability and performance.Develop and maintain ETL processes for observability and operational data when required.Work closely with software engineers to improve application instrumentation across Python, Java and TypeScript services.Help evolve our cloud monitoring capabilities on AWS.Promote observability best practices across projects.What were looking for4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Platform Engineer, Observability Engineer or similar role.Hands-on experience with Datadog, including APM, Custom Metrics, Dashboards and Distributed Tracing.Experience instrumenting applications for both technical and business metrics.Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry and Datadog SDK.Experience defining and implementing SLIs, SLOs and operational KPIs.Solid understanding of structured logging and metrics collection.Good knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native architectures.Experience with Python.Familiarity with Java and/or TypeScript is a plus.Strong SQL skills.Experience working with Git and Linux environments.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Nice to haveExperience building ETL pipelines.Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools.Knowledge of traffic management and communication between distributed services.Experience working with CloudWatch and integrating AWS monitoring with Datadog.Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to define operational KPIs.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architectures.What we offerCompetitive salary based on experience.Performance-based bonus of up to 12% of your salary.€1,000/year education budget to keep growing.Flexible working hours and the option to work from home.€300 to improve your home setup.Challenging projects with a focus on innovation.A dynamic, diverse team that wants to leave a mark.International clients with thousands of users.If you think youd be a good fit, wed love to talk.; -
