Job description

We are looking for an IVI C System Engineer to support the design and development of In Vehicle Infotainment and Connectivity systems. This role works closely with feature owners, software teams, HMI, and platform teams to translate vehicle features into clear system and software requirements using model based systems engineering (MBSE) practices., * Develop feature based system and software requirements for IVI C modules (e.g., Infotainment, Audio, Telematics, Gateway, Displays)

  • Perform functional decomposition and system partitioning from vehicle features to ECU/software level

  • Define interfaces, use cases, sequence diagrams, and system behaviors using MBSE

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Feature Owners, Module Owners, HMI, Platform teams) to ensure seamless integration

  • Conduct system compatibility and impact analysis across vehicle architectures and markets

  • Identify and resolve system level and interface issues impacting IVI performance

  • Use requirements management tools for authoring, traceability, and change management

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering within automotive or embedded systems

  • Strong background in requirements development and system/component testing

  • Knowledge of automotive networks: CAN, LIN, Ethernet

  • Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and API design

  • Experience with UML/SysML modeling and MBSE concepts

  • Programming exposure to C++, Python, or Java

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automotive infotainment platforms

  • Tools: DOORS, JAMA, Polarion, Rhapsody, MagicDraw, CANoe/CANalyzer

  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR, SOME/IP, Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Git/GitHub

  • Understanding of HMI/UX and human factors

This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.
