Job description

We are seeking a Director of Systems Integration to lead, build, and scale the engineering organization responsible for deploying our technology with top-tier global partners. In this role, you will take ownership of major quantum hardware and system integration programs, managing system engineering teams and serving as the executive engineering interface to our strategic enterprise partners, translating complex commercial goals into high-performing physical systems., * Lead & Scale System Engineering Teams: Recruit, manage, and mentor a small team of senior technical leads and engineers across Systems Engineering, HPC Integration, Ecosystem Management, Advanced Packaging, and RF Engineering.

  • Program Ownership: Own end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-year, commercial quantum hardware integration projects involving partner co-design.
  • Engineering Leadership Relations: Build, maintain, and manage relationships with senior engineering leadership at customer and partner organizations.
  • Ecosystem Readiness: Identify and de-risk technical, timeline and cost mismatches across third-party hardware suppliers and integration partners to ensure compatibility with our QPUs.
  • Process optimisation: Establish, mature and scale standardized engagement frameworks and processes for integration projects, partner training programs, logistics, etc.
  • Commercial Interface: Partner closely with Business Development teams to evaluate technical feasibility, resource allocation, and timeline alignment on strategic commercial proposals.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Microelectronics, or Computer Engineering.
  • 10+ years of technical leadership experience with direct people management of multi-disciplinary engineering teams in complex hardware environments.
  • Customer facing delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary, projects involving close technology integration, co-design, and high-capital equipment deployment.
  • Deep domain expertise in HPC systems integration, advanced semiconductor packaging, or supercomputing infrastructure (e.g., thermal budgets, high-density RF signal routing, cryogenics, or compute scaling).
  • Exceptional cross-functional communicator capable of bridging strategic business goals with physical hardware engineering constraints and presenting to executive leadership.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at building high-performing engineering teams.
