Job description
Red Arch Solutions is hiring a Systems Engineer to join our program in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The System Engineer shall serve as the technical lead for the planning, deploying, and documenting the Delinea Tools Suite across the organization’s Linux environments. This role is responsible for translating security and operational requirements into effective privileged access and secrets management solutions. The System Engineer shall design deployment strategies, ensure alignment with the mission’s architecture, and maintain comprehensive documentation to support sustainment, audits, and future expansion.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Suite of Tools
- Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python to automate manual processes
- Experience performing basic System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux environment
- Strong Linux systems engineering background (e.g., RHEL, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Hands-on experience planning or deploying at least one Delinea product (Secret Server, Privilege Manager, DevOps Secrets Vault, or related tools)
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate documentation for architecture, configuration, and operational processes
- Familiar with identity and access management concepts, PAM solutions, least-privilege principles, and secure configuration guidelines
- Familiar with integrating Linux systems with authentication and directory services (LDAP, Active Directory, FreeIPA)
- Strong problem-solving skills related to enterprise systems, authentication pipelines, and service-level troubleshooting
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStack
- Familiar with API-driven integrations and secrets management in CI/CD workflows
- Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and associated secret-handling patterns
Position Desired Skills
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience in cybersecurity engineering roles or working within compliance-driven environments (STIGs, NIST, ISO, etc.)
