Job description

  • Manage CI/CD pipelines.
  • Write automation scripts.
  • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Support system reliability and monitoring.
  • Integrate security and compliance into the DevOps lifecycle.
  • Deploy and manage applications using containerization technologies.
  • Monitor system performance, uptime, and security.
  • Contribute to our DevOps team as a new and integral member supporting our TechOps function.

Requirements

  • We are looking for candidates with 2 years or more commercial DevOps Engineering experience.
  • We ideally want experience in an AWS, Linux, NoSQL environment.
  • We would like experience with Python, Java or Bash scripting.
  • We need scripting skills, ideally Python, Bash or similar.
  • We would like provisioning experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • We would like containerisation experience with Kubernetes or similar.
  • We would like monitoring experience with tools like DataDog, Prometheus or Grafana.
  • We would like database knowledge, ideally NoSQL databases such as MariaDB or DynamoDB.
  • We would like Linux knowledge, ideally Ubuntu or CentOS.
  • We value experience working within an agile environment.
  • We would like knowledge of version control tools, ideally Git.

This is a new DevOps Engineer position in our growing DevOps team, and it is integral to the continued success of our TechOps function, which underpins the effective development and running of the software-as-a-service we provide to our customers. We are based in our hi-tech Guildford offices next to the train station and offer a competitive salary depending on experience, 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension scheme, an excellent employee benefits scheme, and a 40-hour week including one hour for lunch, with all work carried out in the office.
