Job description

We are looking for an experienced DB2 Mainframe Administrator to support a Large programme, with a key focus on the migration of CA/Broadcom DB2 tooling to IBM., You will be responsible for the administration, configuration and performance of DB2 on z/OS, supporting upgrades, migrations, backup and recovery, DB2 utilities, troubleshooting and production support.

Requirements

Hands-on DB2 on z/OS experience at System Administration/DBA level.

Experience migrating CA/Broadcom DB2 tools to IBM, ideally CA Fast Check, Fast Index, Fast Load or Fast Recover to the IBM DB2 Utilities Suite.
Strong knowledge of DB2 utilities including REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, COPY and RECOVER.
Experience with DB2 performance tuning, storage, backup/recovery and capacity management.
Strong z/OS, JCL and SDSF knowledge.
Experience providing L2/L3 support, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
Familiarity with SPUFI, QMF and DB2 Admin Tool.
Experience working within controlled change, release, security and compliance environments.
