We are looking for an experienced SC + NPPV3 Cleared Data Engineer to support a secure Central Government/Policing environment, working on data engineering, transformation, integration and automation within a complex delivery programme.
This is a hands-on technical role suited to a Data Engineer who is comfortable working with Python, structured and semi-structured data, data profiling, pipeline development and automated data processing within secure environments., * Develop and maintain Python-based data processing and transformation solutions
- Build and support data pipelines and automated workflows
- Perform data profiling, mapping, transformation and validation
- Develop synthetic/test data to support development and testing activities
- Transform and manipulate XML and JSON data
- Develop automation and integration solutions across secure environments
- Support data testing, troubleshooting and defect resolution
- Work closely with technical, delivery and testing teams to ensure data is fit for purpose
- Document data processes, transformations and technical solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering and integration processes
Requirements
- Active SC Clearance
- NPPV3 Clearance
- 3 + yesrs Data Engineering experience
- Strong, hands-on Python development experience
- Experience developing and supporting data pipelines
- Strong experience with XML and JSON transformation
- Data profiling, cleansing, mapping and validation
- Experience with synthetic data generation/test data generation
- Automation and integration development
- Experience supporting data testing and validation
- Ability to work with structured and semi-structured datasets
- Experience working within secure Government, Policing, Law Enforcement or similarly regulated environments
- Strong understanding of data quality, transformation and integration principles
