M365 Solution Architect

We are supporting a client on a major identity and Microsoft 365 transformation programme for a 6-month contract in London. This is an outside IR35 opportunity with a day rate of £400 to £500. The role is hands-on and focused on Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Microsoft 365, security, automation, and migration. We are looking for someone who can bring both architectural expertise and practical delivery experience to a complex environment.

• Strong hybrid identity experience across Active Directory Domain Services and Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience with single sign-on using SAML and OpenID Connect
• Experience with Conditional Access, multi-factor authentication, and authentication troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Windows Hello for Business, FIDO2, and passkeys
• Experience with Application Registrations, Enterprise Applications, and Service Principals
• Experience with business-to-business and external identity scenarios
• Experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Exchange Server, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online
• Experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance
• Experience with Azure AD Connect and Active Directory Federation Services
• Experience with migration and tenant transformation projects
• Strong PowerShell and Microsoft Graph experience
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth 2.0, and certificate-based authentication
• Experience automating Microsoft 365 and Entra administration
• Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Power Automate, .NET, C#, or Python desirable
• Strong troubleshooting and security mindset
• Experience with least-privilege access models
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention, and Sensitivity Labels desirable
• Experience with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, or similar frameworks desirable

Responsibilities:

• Support a major identity and Microsoft 365 transformation programme
• Provide hands-on architecture support across Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Microsoft 365, security, automation, and migration
• Combine architectural thinking with hands-on technical delivery in complex Microsoft environments
• Remove on-premises identity components from an existing Microsoft 365 sub-tenant
• Support the transfer of the Microsoft 365 sub-tenant to a third-party tenant
