Mackinnon Bruce International is partnered with a global leader in specialty chemicals, ingredients, and performance materials distribution that is seeking a strategically minded IT executive to lead technology and digital transformation across Europe and North America.Serving customers across pharmaceuticals, personal care, industrial and advanced material markets, the organization plays a critical role in connecting world-class manufacturers with local markets through technical expertise, innovation, and value-added services.This is a highly visible leadership role at the intersection of technology and business, offering the opportunity to shape regional IT strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver technology initiatives that drive measurable business value across a complex international environment.The OpportunityAs Director of IT you will lead the technology agenda across Europe and North America, serving as a trusted advisor to business leadership and the primary interface between regional operations and Group IT.Reporting to the CIO, you will be responsible for driving digital transformation, ensuring operational excellence, and aligning technology investments with business priorities. Success in this role requires a strategic yet hands-on leader who can balance innovation, governance, service delivery, and stakeholder engagement across multiple markets.Key Responsibilities:Define and execute the regional Digital & IT strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives and business priorities.Lead digital transformation, enterprise application, and technology initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and business performance.Act as the strategic technology partner to senior business leaders, identifying opportunities, shaping demand, and prioritizing investments based on business value.Oversee regional IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, governance, service management, business continuity, and disaster recovery capabilities.Manage regional IT budgets, resources, vendors, and project portfolios while ensuring compliance with global standards, policies, and controls.Lead and develop a high-performing international IT team, fostering collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and strong stakeholder engagement.About you:We’re looking for a commercially minded technology leader who combines strategic vision with operational excellence and can effectively influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.You will bring:Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, such as IT Director, Regional IT Director, Head of IT, or equivalent.A successful track record of developing and delivering technology strategy and digital transformation within complex multinational organizations.Strong expertise across IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, governance, service management, and business partnering.Experience with enterprise applications, SAP environments, ERP programs, and large-scale business transformation initiatives.Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage executive leadership and translate business requirements into technology solutions.Experience leading geographically dispersed teams, managing budgets, and delivering technology projects in fast-paced international environments.Qualifications;Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field preferred.If interested, please apply or reach out directly for a confidential discussion
