We are recruiting for one (1) full-time IT Support 1 Project position and creating an eligibility list. The project position has an expected end date of December 31, 2026. The eligibility list will be valid for 6 months from the closing date of this post, and placement on the list is not a guarantee of call-back or job offer. Job offers are contingent on successful completion of reference and background checks, including fingerprinting. Snohomish County will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States. BASIC FUNCTION The IT Support 1 - DIS is responsible for planning, coordination, communication, support and maintenance of hardware, software, systems, and/or electronic records. A person in this position applies basic ideas and practices to provide routine solutions to problems of limited scope, showing willingness to accept responsibility and communicating effectively. This work is performed at the enterprise level., STATEMENT OF ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES * Applies basic ideas and practices, with limited specialty knowledge related to technology support, maintenance, operation and administration of business applications, systems, networks, and personal productivity devices and network appliances.
- Provides routine solutions to problems of limited scope, and enters information into basic word/information processing systems in the area of technology support.
- Demonstrates willingness to accept responsibility in work correlated with technology support, maintenance, operation and administration of business applications, systems, networks, and personal productivity devices and network appliances.
- Demonstrates the ability to focus and performs project tasks as directed in projects that incorporate technology support, maintenance, operation and administration of business applications, systems, networks, and personal productivity devices and network appliances.
- Closely supervised, follows specific, detailed instructions and basic procedures.
- Routinely delivers work to support continuous delivery of services in the area of technology support.
- Communicates effectively with others, demonstrating written and verbal skills to convey routine information about technology support.

Snohomish County Information Technology (IT) is recruiting an IT Project Support professional who values working within a supportive structure that emphasizes standards and continuous improvement. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively, and communicate effectively with a diverse group of operational, support, and IT professionals. You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable working independently in a structured team environment. This role involves troubleshooting hardware issues, performing workstation imaging and configuration, and managing inventory of IT assets., Six (6) months of general work experience that includes use of computer preferred; OR any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Must pass criminal background check. Must pass job related tests.
