DevOps Engineer

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph\n
• Requires a BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.\n
• Expert in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices and continuous integration / continuous development\n
• Direct experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as J-Meter\n
• Experience with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex, AWS, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud, Azure)\n
• Experience with development leveraging cloud data services (ex: AWS S3, OpenSearch, EFS, etc.)\n
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)\n
• Well versed with using version control systems such as git\n
• Well versed with using issue/problem tracking systems\n
• Proficient with common Agile practices and environment, service-orientated environments, and development practices\n
• Must be able to work independently to develop solutions to technical problems.\n
• Interested and eager to learn\n, * Experience in programming with Java, JavaScript\n

• Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement,\n
• Solving higher level and larger scope technical problems\n
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug automation solutions for development, test and production environments.\n
• Ability to take high level requirements from senior engineers and program management and break the work down into smaller tasks for implementation.\n
• Makes process, program and automation recommendations to the project or program.\n
• Develop, prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform services\n
• Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases\n
• Analyze (through proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs\n
• Use industry leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting\n
• Document and perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments\n
• Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.\n
• Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities and document procedures\n
• Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures\n

Leidos is looking for a DevOps Engineer on a 200+ FTE technical development program responsible for delivering modern Identity Access Credential Management (ICAM) solutions. As a DevOps Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems and software utilizing cloud capabilities to support a complex program. Based in DevOps framework, you will participate in and/or direct major deliverables throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.
