Job description

Kforce’s client in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced SAP Product Costing Consultant to support SAP S/4HANA implementation and transformation initiatives. This role will focus on product costing, standard costing, material valuation, inventory accounting, manufacturing cost management, and financial integration. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP CO-PC and the ability to support data conversion, reconciliation, testing, cutover, and post-go-live activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support SAP S/4HANA Product Costing implementation, migration, deployment, and transformation activities
  • Perform data mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and conversion of costing-related data
  • Validate material master data, BOMs, routings, work centers, activity types, cost centers, and cost component structures
  • Support standard cost rollups, cost estimates, cost component analysis, and standard price updates
  • Assist with period-end costing activities, including WIP, overhead, variance calculation, settlement, and inventory valuation
  • Investigate and resolve costing discrepancies related to material valuation, production orders, inventory movements, and financial postings
  • Support testing activities including Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution
  • Partner with Finance, Controlling, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and IT teams to ensure successful system integration
  • Support cutover planning, mock conversions, go-live readiness, and post-production stabilization
  • Develop documentation, reconciliation procedures, test scripts, and deployment support materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance or Controlling certification
  • 5+ years of SAP experience supporting Product Costing, Controlling, Finance, Manufacturing, or ERP transformation initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with SAP CO-PC, Cost Planning, Material Ledger, Inventory Valuation, and Manufacturing Accounting
  • Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, upgrades, or transformation programs
  • Strong understanding of standard costing, material cost estimates, cost component structures, WIP, variance analysis, inventory valuation, production order costing, and month-end close
  • Experience with data migration, testing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover activities
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, * Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, automotive, industrial manufacturing, aerospace and defense, life sciences, or high-tech industries
  • Experience with Material Ledger and Actual Costing
  • Experience supporting global ERP implementations or large-scale transformation programs
  • Knowledge of product profitability, cost object controlling, inventory management, production planning, and supply chain integration

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
