Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Manager - Application Development in Draper, UT., In this role, you will lead Application Development and Power Platform teams in building, modernizing, and supporting secure, scalable enterprise solutions. You’ll provide strategic and technical leadership across software engineering, cloud, AI, automation, architecture, and platform governance., * Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams while managing performance, staffing, and resources

  • Create technology roadmaps for application modernization, cloud adoption, automation, AI, and Power Platform
  • Establish architecture, engineering, security, testing, quality, and governance standards
  • Drive Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, test automation, platform engineering, and AI-assisted development
  • Oversee Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, and related platform capabilities
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to align priorities, investments, and delivery plans
  • Track delivery, quality, reliability, adoption, productivity, and operational performance
  • Manage vendors, consultants, budgets, risks, compliance, and service expectations
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve business processes and outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years in software engineering, application development, platform engineering, or a related technology field
  • 5+ years managing software engineering, application development, or technical engineering teams
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, release management, and modern software engineering practices
  • Expertise in solution architecture, engineering standards, and technical governance
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, and modern software architectures
  • Proven ability to evaluate, implement, or lead AI-enabled development, intelligent automation, developer productivity tools, and emerging enterprise AI technologies, * Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience leading application modernization, digital transformation, or cloud migration
  • Experience managing vendors, consultants, and external delivery partners
  • Experience with enterprise AI governance, AI-enabled business solutions, AI agents, or agentic workflows
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, .NET, Power Platform, Dataverse, and Copilot
  • Knowledge of API-first, service-oriented, and event-driven architectures

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
