Iiot Engineer

The IIo T Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Industrial Internet of Things (IIo T) solutions that connect food and beverage processing equipment with cloud-based digital applications and advanced data analytics platforms.This role combines expertise in industrial automation, connectivity, cloud technologies, and data engineering to deliver scalable digital solutions that enable real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, process optimization, asset performance management, and sustainability initiatives.This position can be based in Alcobendas (Spain), Naas (Ireland) or Bogota (Colombia), depending on the selected candidate.Responsibilities / Tasks Integrate Siemens and Rockwell automation systems with cloud-based platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Influx DB, and Databricks.Support the development of digital applications for equipment monitoring, asset performance management, predictive maintenance, energy management, water optimization, and production performance analytics.Collaborate with Product Managers and Automation Engineers to define technical requirements.Implement edge-to-cloud connectivity solutions for real-time data collection and monitoring.Drive the standardization of digital architectures and integration frameworks.Ensure IIo T solutions comply with OT cybersecurity standards and industry best practices.Implement standardized industrial data models, asset hierarchies, and contextualized data structures.Support the development of reusable connectivity and analytics solutions.Identify opportunities to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of digital products.Your Profile / Qualifications Educational Background Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering or Computer Science.Professional Knowledge and Experience5+ years of experience in Industrial Automation, IIo T, Cloud Engineering, or Digital Solutions.Experience delivering cloud-based software products using Microsoft Azure.Experience working with Influx DB and Databricks for time-series data management, analytics, and reporting.Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial control systems within process or manufacturing industries.Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Knowledge of Food & Beverage processes.Awareness of IEC *** and industrial cybersecurity principles.Fluent English (B2/C1) required.Spanish or German would be considered a strong advantage.Other Skills & Competencies Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.Customer-focused with a business and sustainability-oriented mindset.Strong continuous improvement mindset.High standards of ethics, compliance, and professionalism.Proactive and collaborative approach to delivering innovative digital solutions.We offer Attractive compensation package aligned with experience & responsibilities Private health insurance plan Employee Assistance Program Flexible working hours and a hybrid working model23 days of vacation per year Great work environment as part of a collaborative team Continuous internal training and career development opportunities, both nationally and internationally The opportunity to join a company recognized as a Top Employer ** Did we spark your interest?Then please click apply above to access our guided application process.Summary Location: Alcobendas; Bogotá D.
