Embedded Software Lead - Madrid , SpainAn exciting opportunity to take ownership of the embedded software architecture behind a next-generation space propulsion system.You’ll lead the full software lifecycle across flight-critical firmware, laboratory automation and EGSE, while also leading and developing a team of embedded engineers.What you’ll be doing: Embedded Software Lead - Madrid , SpainOwn the embedded software architecture from bare-metal through to RTOSLead and mentor a team of embedded software engineersDrive the migration from legacy 8-bit firmware to a modern 32-bit RTOS architectureDevelop verification strategies, HIL testing and CI/CD for embedded systemsWork closely with hardware engineers on propulsion and laboratory systemsHelp shape software that will ultimately support real spaceflightWhat we’re looking for: Embedded Software Lead - Madrid , Spain7+ years’ embedded software experience, including technical leadership/mentoringStrong C and C++ experienceHands-on bare-metal and RTOS experience, ideally FreeRTOSStrong knowledge of MCUs and low-level protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, CAN and PWMPython for automation and testingGit and CI/CD experienceAbility to read PCB schematics?? 40 hours per week ? 23 days holiday + 6 additional Christmas days Private health insurance €1,000 annual learning budget Up to 10 days remote working per monthA great opportunity for an experienced embedded engineer who wants to take real ownership of the software architecture behind cutting-edge space technology.
