Job description

Caterpillar’s Integrated Drivetrain Energy Solutions division is seeking a Senior Electrification Systems Engineer to coordinate high-voltage system analysis capability across electrification programs.

This role is responsible for collaborating with a global engineering team delivering high voltage system analysis, including cable sizing, fuse coordination, incident energy calculations, and power flow studies.

The position combines deep technical expertise with leadership of a globally distributed team to ensure high-quality, consistent, and scalable system analysis supporting electrified product development.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead execution and quality of HV system analysis including cable sizing, fuse coordination, incident energy calculations, and power flow analysis

  • Establish and standardize modeling practices and data quality requirements

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for HV system analysis

  • Drive continuous improvement of analysis methods and modeling capability

  • Ensure alignment between analysis outputs and system design decisions

  • Lead and coordinate a globally distributed team executing HV analysis activities

  • Set priorities, allocate resources, and manage workload forecasting

  • Establish governance routines for execution discipline

Process Management: Extensive experience and knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Extensive experience and understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Analytical Thinking: Extensive experience and knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Effective Communications : Working knowledge and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Problem Solving: Extensive experience and knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations

Technical Excellence: Working knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Project Management: Working knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
