Engineer 1 React / Front End

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer 1 React / Front End for a Contract with a client in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining responsive, high-performance user interfaces while delivering seamless user experiences across modern web applications. Rate Range: $52/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Engineer 1 React / Front End Job Responsibilities include: Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using React.js and modern front-end development practices. Build reusable UI components, front-end libraries, and scalable solutions to ensure consistency and maintainability across applications. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate business and UI/UX requirements into functional user interfaces. Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services while ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Optimize applications for speed, accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, write automated tests, and contribute to architecture discussions and Agile development activities.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. 2-3+ years of experience in Front-End/UI Development with at least 2 years of hands-on React.js development experience. Strong expertise in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, Redux, responsive design, and REST API integration. Experience building scalable UI applications with modern React features, unit/integration testing, and collaborating within Agile development environments; exposure to TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform is a plus.
