Job description

We are seeking a Cisco Meraki Network Support & Implementation Engineer to support a multi-year network modernization initiative across numerous remote business locations. This position combines hands on Meraki support, network equipment deployment, ISP and vendor management, and site upgrade coordination. The ideal candidate will have practical Cisco Meraki experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate network installations from planning through final validation. This is a hands on technical position with significant coordination responsibilities, but it is not a traditional project manager role. The position will primarily focus on Meraki remote locations but may also assist senior Network Engineers with Cisco infrastructure projects as needed., * Support Cisco Meraki network environments across geographically distributed remote locations

  • Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot Meraki switches, security appliances, wireless infrastructure, VPN connectivity, and WAN services

  • Identify aging and end of life network equipment requiring replacement

  • Coordinate network hardware refreshes from planning through installation and validation

  • Configure and stage network equipment prior to deployment

  • Coordinate installations with business locations, internal resources, vendors, and third party remote hands

  • Provide technical direction during remote site installations and equipment replacements

  • Test and validate network connectivity following upgrades

  • Manage ISP activities including new circuits, bandwidth upgrades, turn ups, migrations, outages, escalations, and disconnects

  • Coordinate ISP activities with carriers, internal stakeholders, site personnel, and field technicians

  • Ensure equipment, vendors, site contacts, and technical resources are prepared before scheduled installations

  • Track multiple site deployments, schedules, dependencies, issues, and completion status

  • Provide remote network troubleshooting and operational support

  • Maintain accurate network, hardware, circuit, and deployment documentation

  • Escalate complex network issues to senior Network Engineers when appropriate

  • Assist with Cisco switching, routing, infrastructure refreshes, and other Network Engineering projects as needed

Requirements

  • Hands on experience supporting Cisco Meraki network environments

  • Experience with Meraki switches, security appliances, wireless infrastructure, or the Meraki dashboard

  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, WAN connectivity, and network troubleshooting

  • Experience configuring, staging, deploying, or replacing network equipment

  • Experience working with third party vendors, field technicians, ISPs, or remote business locations

  • Ability to coordinate multiple installations and upgrade activities simultaneously

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and follow through skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader Network Engineering team

Advanced core network architecture or senior level Cisco engineering experience is not required Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting networks across multiple remote or branch locations

  • Experience with large scale hardware refresh or network modernization initiatives

  • Experience coordinating ISP installations, circuit upgrades, or carrier troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies outside of Meraki

  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure networking or Meraki virtual appliances

  • Cisco CCNA, Cisco Certified Support Technician, Meraki training, or similar technical certifications

  • Experience in a Network Administrator, Network Support Engineer, NOC Analyst, or Network Engineer I role
