Job description

We are seeking an Enterprise Integration Developer to build and support the connections between critical applications across a large, high-volume business environment. This hybrid role is focused primarily on backend development, APIs, system integration, and data reliability rather than front-end design. Will not sponsor. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. You will work across CRM, ERP, point-of-sale, web, database, and third-party platforms while helping modernize an established enterprise technology environment. Responsibilities Develop and maintain integrations connecting internal applications and external platforms Build backend services and interfaces using C# and .NET Core Design, consume, and troubleshoot REST and SOAP APIs Ensure data remains accurate and consistent as it moves between systems Diagnose complex issues involving applications, databases, APIs, and production integrations Translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable technical solutions Participate in testing, code reviews, documentation, deployment, and source-control practices Collaborate with developers, application teams, and business stakeholders Support system monitoring and participate in a rotating on-call schedule

Requirements

At least five years of professional software development experience Strong background in backend or enterprise application development Hands-on C# and .NET Core programming experience Experience developing enterprise integrations and APIs Strong SQL Server and/or Oracle database skills Understanding of application architecture, system programming, and data structures Experience with Git and multiple phases of the software development lifecycle Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Experience with Java, JavaScript, PHP, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, CI/CD, automated testing, Jira, Confluence, React, Angular, NestJS, Symfony, CRM, ERP, POS, or retail systems is helpful but not required. Candidates must currently live in the Chicago area and be able to work from a downtown Chicago or northern suburban office as needed. Occasional travel of less than 5% may be required.
