Java Developer (GCP)

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Java Developer on behalf of our client in Duluth, GA. This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer with a strong background in Java development, cloud-native technologies, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications while leveraging modern development practices and cloud technologies., Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based applications. Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust software solutions. Apply software design patterns, coding standards, and best practices to ensure maintainable and scalable code. Utilize Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to improve software quality and reliability. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality. Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

10+ years of professional experience in Java application development. Strong expertise in Java/J2EE and modern Java versions (Java 21 or higher). Hands-on experience with: Spring Boot Spring MVC Spring Core RESTful API development Microservices architecture Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes. Solid understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented design principles. Experience implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Experience working in Agile development environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the Retail industry. Experience building and supporting large-scale, cloud-native applications. Familiarity with modern AI-enabled software development tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
