About the job

This position will be responsible for unlocking exceptional growth for Twilio’s customers and business.

We are seeking a high-achieving individual to join Twilio’s Strategy & Operations team within the Industry Relations & Strategic Growth organization. In this high-visibility role, you will use data analysis, scripting, and agentic workflows to improve product quality, fight fraud, reduce billing errors, and optimize gross margins for our global telecommunications network. You will build root-cause-analysis tools and automations that query complex datasets, uncover trends, drive human decisions, and allow business partners to self-serve data insights. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with Carrier Relations to define business requirements, engage with Enterprise Technology and Engineering to build data pipelines and governance, and partner with Product, Supply Operations, and Finance to deliver scalable data products. You will handle manual data analytics workflows of today while re-imagining and rapidly prototyping agentic workflows for tomorrow.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Agentic AI & Workflow Automation
  • Architect, test, and deploy LLMs and agents to automate unstructured, multi-step data investigations.
  • Architect, test, and deploy automated workflows (using Python) to transform repetitive manual processes into scalable impact.
  • Architect, test and deploy single-user tools and multi-user workflows to drive human efficiency.
  • Implement strong data architecture and AI orchestration frameworks for safety, accuracy, efficiency and maintainability.
  • Analytics, Modeling & Root Cause Analysis
  • Perform SQL queries and multi-step data analyses across complex telecommunications datasets to optimize gross margins, reduce fraud, and improve network quality.
  • Design dashboards and repeatable BI solutions (using Tableau, Looker, or Python) that deliver actionable insights to business partners.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track performance over time.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Ownership
  • Collaborate with Carrier Relations, Enterprise Technology, Product, Supply Operations, and Finance to translate complex business needs into data requirements and governance standards.
  • Write and verbally communicate insights that directly answer business questions.
  • Act as a self-starter who takes end-to-end ownership of data products - from scoping requirements and authoring documentation to final execution and delivery.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard, positively impacting customer experience and company success., We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.

*Required:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in developing technical data and automation solutions.
  • Extensive experience working with SQL and relational database schemas.
  • Extensive experience with Google Sheets (or Excel), Tableau, and/or Looker.
  • Experience using Python, APIs, or workflow platforms (e.g., Airtable, Coefficient, Zapier/n8n) to build automated data workflows and process pipelines.
  • Experience building agents (e.g. Claude Code, Claude Cowork, OpenAI, Gemini) and training LLM models to solve complex, multi-step, unstructured problems.
  • Strong understanding and orientation toward data management, governance, and hygiene.

Desired:

  • Sharp written and verbal communication skills to articulate findings.
  • Able to break down business problems into manageable pieces.
  • History of using technology safely with frameworks and metrics to ensure accuracy, efficiency, maintainability, and safety
  • Familiarity with telecom, messaging, and voice networks.
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience in project management and communicating requirements to data teams.
  • Experience working with customers, vendors, and external partners.

Compensation

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $106,320.00- $132,900.00.
  • Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $112,560.00 - $140,700.00.
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $125,040.00- $156,300.00.
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
