Job description

Build the platform foundation and semantic layer based on analyst-defined specifications Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines Create and maintain data models, marts, and historical data structures Develop standardization and transformation layers in Databricks Build and optimize Snowflake data assets and semantic models Enable data federation and interoperability between Databricks and Snowflake Implement testing, version control, and CI/CD best practices Partner with analytics and business teams to deliver governed, scalable data solutions Support AI and advanced analytics initiatives leveraging Snowflake and Databricks

Note: This is a highly hands-on engineering role. The ideal candidate should be strong in Databricks, Snowflake, data modeling, and pipeline development, rather than traditional reporting or BI-focused analytics., Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines Databricks expertise including: Spark/PySpark Delta Lake Notebooks & Jobs Data standardization layers Snowflake experience including: Advanced SQL Warehouses & Role Management Semantic Views / Semantic Models Strong data modeling experience Dimensional Modeling Star Schemas SCD Type 2 History Data Mart Development Experience with cross-platform data federation between Databricks and Snowflake Python development for data pipelines and automation Git, DevOps, version control, testing, and CI/CD experience

Requirements

Strong SQL and Data Engineering experience, Experience with Snowflake Cortex and AI capabilities Semantic layer and semantic-view development Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience dbt or other transformation frameworks Data platform performance tuning and optimization Experience with enterprise data ingestion frameworks Experience supporting analytics and reporting platforms
