Application owner

We are looking for an Application Owner to take end-to-end responsibility for a portfolio of business-critical applications within a large-scale, complex IT environment. You will ensure the performance, stability, coherence, and continuous evolution of the application landscape while acting as a key bridge between IT, business stakeholders, and external partners. This role combines operational ownership, functional expertise, and application lifecycle management in a highly collaborative and governed environment. What you will do Application Support & Stability Act as the escalation point for incidents, problems, and service requests within your application portfolio. Coordinate and resolve functional escalations with support teams (1st/2nd line). Ensure timely resolution of issues affecting production systems and document solutions. Support application releases before, during, and after deployment. Application Portfolio Management Own the end-to-end performance, availability, and lifecycle of applications within your portfolio. Ensure applications are aligned with business needs, architecture standards, and IT strategy. Maintain and prioritize the application backlog based on strategic and operational priorities. Coordinate change delivery (sprints, releases, versions) with IT and business stakeholders. Act as the main point of contact for business process owners and internal IT teams. Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers, including contracts and RFPs. Oversee issue analysis and drive continuous improvement across the application landscape. What we are looking for

5+ years of experience in a similar role (Application Owner, Functional/Technical Analyst, or Application Support Lead). Experience managing production applications through full lifecycle phases (run, change, enhancement, decommission). Strong background in incident management, release governance, and backlog prioritization. Experience working in structured IT environments with multiple stakeholders (security, architecture, infrastructure, compliance). Familiarity with supplier and contract management (vendors, licensing, RFP processes). Strong understanding of business-critical application environments. Knowledge of SQL or Oracle databases is a plus. Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Languages & working model Fluent in English (minimum B2 level). Fluency in French and/or Dutch required (C2 level). On-site presence required approximately 2 days per week.
