company’s AI portfolio.</p> <p>You will work at the intersection of the DevOps/SysOps engineering organisation and a team of Forward Deployed Engineers: close to delivery to understand what they’re building, ensuring it scales, and commercially aware to control what it costs. You don’t review decisions retrospectively. You define what looks right from the start.</p> <p>What you’ll do</p> <ul> <li>Define and own AI architecture standards and governance across the group’s transformation programme</li> <li>Enable and guide the Forward Deployed Engineering team - ensuring their solutions are production-grade, scalable, and compliant</li> <li>Establish cost-control and visibility mechanisms across the AI portfolio at group level</li> <li>Assess risk, security and compliance implications across enterprise systems: Databricks, AWS, Azure, SAP integration</li> <li>Advise on build vs. buy decisions for AI tooling and platforms</li> <li>Work between SysOps/DevOps and the FDE team as the

architectural authority</li> </ul> <p>What you’ll bring</p> <ul> <li>Enterprise architecture experience in a complex, multi-system environment - you know how large companies’ technology runs</li> <li>Hands-on AI and ML experience in production - you understand the distance and difference between a prototype and something that can scale</li> <li>Experience with AI governance, risk management, and portfolio cost management</li> <li>Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge - AWS and Azure</li> <li>Databricks and data mesh experience strongly preferred</li> <li>C1 German - hard requirement for stakeholder engagement across the organisation</li> <li>Comfort in high-ambiguity environments where you are creating standards rather than inheriting them</li> </ul> <p>Desirable</p> <ul> <li>Experience enabling or governing a Forward Deployed Engineering function</li> <li>SAP integration experience</li> <li>Security and compliance experience in a listed or regulated environment</li> </ul>

€150,000-€160,000 base salary + benefits

Permanent | Cologne/Düsseldorf preferred - Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich okay

Hybrid: 3 days in office

AI Futures has been engaged exclusively by the Group CTO of one of Germany's top companies to make a single critical hire: the AI Enterprise Solutions Architect who will define the architectural standards and governance framework for the company's AI transformation.

The company

An MDAX-listed group with €2bn+ in annual revenue and a record 2025 financial year. They have spent two years building enterprise-grade data infrastructure and now have the financial platform, board mandate, and leadership in place to execute a full AI transformation. Their first-ever Group CTO is leading the programme to make this company AI-native.

The role

As AI Enterprise Solutions Architect you own the architectural standards, governance framework, cost controls, and risk management across the
