Senior zOS Systems Programmer

We’re looking for a Senior zOS Systems Programmer to join our ever evolving Mainframe Software Team and help shape the future of global commerce. What you’ll own Design, develop, maintain and support critical enterprise systems and platform services that underpin Global Payments’ business operations. Lead system enhancements, software upgrades, performance tuning and platform optimisation activities. Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent solutions. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, architecture and security teams to deliver resilient, scalable and secure solutions. Act as a technical mentor and subject matter expert, driving engineering standards, automation and operational excellence. What you’ll bring Extensive experience in systems programming within large-scale enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of operating systems

middleware, automation tooling and performance tuning. Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems in mission-critical systems. Experience supporting highly available production platforms with a focus on reliability and resilience. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences. It’s a bonus if you have Experience within payments, fintech or other highly regulated industries. Knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
