Job description

We are seeking a Senior Archer IRM Developer / Archer SME to support NiSource’’s enterprise RSA Archer Integrated Risk Management (IRM) platform across both Archer SaaS and Archer OnPrem environments.

This role will support an Agile product team responsible for a broad range of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) capabilities, including compliance, issues and risks, policy management, NERC CIP, NERC 693, TSA compliance, third-party risk, supply chain risk, IT/OT risk, business continuity, and enterprise risk management.

The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Archer configuration/development skills with GRC business analysis capabilities and be comfortable translating business requirements into scalable Archer solutions., * Design, configure, enhance, and maintain Archer IRM applications across SaaS and OnPrem environments.

  • Configure Archer applications, questionnaires, workflows, fields, layouts, calculations, notifications, dashboards, reports, access controls, and data-driven events.
  • Support new Archer use-case implementations as well as enhancements to existing applications.
  • Develop and maintain integrations and data feeds involving systems such as ServiceNow, Workday, MuleSoft, Qualys, JavaScript, and Ariba.
  • Perform data imports/exports, bulk updates, reporting, workflow automation, and integration troubleshooting.
  • Translate business and GRC requirements into functional and technical Archer solutions.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, requirements analysis, user story development, testing, UAT, defect resolution, and release readiness.
  • Perform configuration, unit testing, system/integration testing, debugging, and production deployment support.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Archer developers, GRC super users, business stakeholders, and vendor/Professional Services teams.
  • Lead efforts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and production issues.
  • Support proactive monitoring, reporting, testing, documentation, and release activities.
  • Help automate manual processes related to compliance, evidence tracking, issue management, reporting, and risk management.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to junior/intermediate resources and other team members.
  • Support application availability, maintenance, enhancements, upgrades, and post-production support.
  • Develop and maintain application, security, and technical documentation and training materials.
  • Promote platform standardization, knowledge transfer, and reduction of single points of failure.
  • Work independently on high-priority initiatives while managing multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines., The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday between approximately 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET, with flexibility to support after-hours releases when required.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant GRC technology, Archer, or related experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on RSA Archer configuration/development experience.
  • Strong experience with the Archer IRM platform.
  • Hands-on experience configuring Archer applications, workflows, questionnaires, fields, layouts, calculations, notifications, reports, dashboards, access roles, and data-driven events.
  • Experience supporting both new Archer implementations and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Experience with Archer integrations, APIs, data feeds, imports/exports, bulk updates, or workflow automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical and configuration issues.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum or Professional Scrum environments.
  • Experience with requirements refinement, user stories, testing, UAT, defect resolution, and release management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business/GRC stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in high-priority situations and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both Archer SaaS and Archer OnPrem.
  • Utility, energy, or other regulated-industry experience.
  • Knowledge of GRC processes including:
  • Governance and compliance
  • Enterprise risk management
  • Issue management
  • Policy management
  • Third-party risk
  • Cybersecurity risk
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Audit
  • Familiarity with NIST CSF, NERC CIP, NERC 693, TSA, SOX, or similar regulatory/compliance frameworks.
  • Experience integrating Archer with ServiceNow, Workday, MuleSoft, Qualys, JavaScript, or Ariba.
  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification/experience.
  • Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring junior/intermediate developers.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, conflict-management, and stakeholder-partnership skills., Quality over volume. Candidates should have direct, hands-on Archer configuration/development experience.

Candidates with only general GRC experience, without hands-on Archer development or configuration experience, will not be considered.

Utility experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, generally between 7:00 AM-5:00 PM ET, with flexibility for after-hours releases Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Contract: 12 months, with potential conversion to FTE within 6 months Target Start Date: October 1, 2026
