Job description

The Global SAP Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining, governing, and continuously evolving the global SAP Enterprise Architecture strategy across the Bruker IT Enterprise Applications landscape. The role ensures that SAP solutions, integration platforms, data architectures, and technology roadmaps support the company’s digital transformation objectives while maintaining scalability, security, compliance, and operational excellence.

The SAP Enterprise Architect support the IT Enterprise Application leadership team as the strategic bridge between business leadership, enterprise applications team, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and external partners. He/she owns the IT technical architecture and future evolution of the Bruker SAP Template and is accountable for designing future-proof end-to-end business capabilities, ensuring architectural consistency across the global SAP ecosystem, business units and roll-out programs.

Acts as IT Architect for the Bruker SAP Template, supports global SAP rollout initiatives across all Bruker business units, ensuring that the company’s global business processes, SAP solutions, integrations, data models, and technology platforms remain aligned with standardized, scalable, secure, and future-ready enterprise architecture.

  • Own the IT technical architecture, governance, and strategic evolution of the global Bruker SAP Template, promoting harmonization and best practices.
  • Support the global SAP Roll-Out Program and Project Management by providing architectural leadership, governance, and solution guidance across all SAP implementation and deployment initiatives.
  • Ensure that all SAP projects align with the Bruker SAP Template, SAP Enterprise Architecture standards, and long-term technology roadmap during fit-gap analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, cutover, and hypercare ases.
  • Support steering committees, project managers, business process owners, and implementation partners during rollout execution.
  • Support project teams in balancing local business requirements with global template standardization.
  • Advise and support business units in process digitalization and SAP transformation.
  • Evaluate emerging SAP technologies and innovation opportunities including AI, SAP Joule, automation, and low-code/no-code solutions
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence (analytics) team to provide business relevant input to their BI model development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of SAP experience in an international, complex environment.
  • Minimum 5 years in Enterprise Architecture or Solution Architecture leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash (Q2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Plan-to-Produce (PL2P). Record-to-Report (R2R), Hire-to-Retire (H2R), Service-to-Customer (S2C), Export & Trade Compliance business processes and integrated End-to-End solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, CS, MM, PP, QM) and integration scenarios.
  • Proven experience with global SAP transformations and S/4HANA programs.
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.Experience working in multinational and matrix organizations.
  • High self-motivation, assertiveness, and intercultural competence.
  • For the Porto location, an excellent level of English is required; for Ettlingen, intermediate German is additionally needed.
