Job description

Salesforce Success Central (SFSC) Engineering team builds and operates services and infrastructure that improve the return on investment in Amazon’s enterprise-wide Salesforce deployments.

We are a tight-knit team of builders who own systems end-to-end: from real-time log ingestion and security monitoring, to fine-grained access control, to the next generation of AI-powered agentic security tooling.

As a Sr SDE on SFSC Engineering, you will own complex, ambiguous problems end-to-end: from architecture and design through implementation, deployment, and operational excellence. You will mentor engineers, influence technical direction across teams, and build systems that operate at scale with high availability.

This team is for you if -

  • You want to be part of a small collaborative team that builds services and infrastructure that enable and secure Amazon’s entire Salesforce fleet.
  • You are passionate about developing products that scale and perform at high availability and have the customer obsession to build solutions for Amazon fleet., * Responsible for end-to-end design, development, test, implementation of complex problems including planning, risk, trade-offs.
  • Work with engineers, service and security teams to define and deliver complex features.
  • Guide and ensure quality of architectural decisions across products and teams.
  • Help establish the long-term success strategy for team-owned systems, development best practices, and operational excellence processes.
  • Ensure existing platforms and services remain fully supported while contributing to the creation of next generation solutions.
  • Provide technical direction and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team, * 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with AWS Services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following domains: access-control system and methodology, network security, application- and system-development security, security architecture and models, cryptography, and operations security
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
