We use an AI-first mindset as a force multiplier to proactively and continuously accelerate execution, build expertise, uncover insights, and solve complex, CrowdStrike is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to join the Hardware Development & Engineering team. In this role, you will be an essential part of a rapidly expanding hardware program that delivers excellence to both internal and external customers. You’ll work closely with platform architects and hardware engineers to validate new server designs, create robust testing frameworks, and ensure quality across our hardware ecosystem. This position offers an unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge server technologies while building the tools and processes that ensure their reliability, security and performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Execute validation tests for hardware components including server platforms, storage media, and emerging technologies (PCIe Gen6, DC-MHS, GPUs, etc)
- Support validation plans for new server designs, conducting power/thermal testing and performance benchmarking
- Contribute to automation frameworks for hardware testing, firmware validation, and component qualification
- Assist in coordination with ODM/OEM partners on server integration projects
- Document test results, procedures, and technical findings for new platforms
- Maintain and operate hardware testing infrastructure
- Collaborate with software teams on platform configuration optimization (BIOS, kernel, firmware)

- 5+ Years of experience in server hardware development, testing, or validation at a SaaS, public cloud, CSP, or similar company
- Hands-on experience with hardware validation methodologies, benchmarking tools, and test automation
- Working knowledge of modern server architectures and key components (CPU, memory, storage, networking)
- Familiarity with server BMC implementation and management interfaces (Redfish, IPMI)
- Proficiency in Linux server environments and scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- Understanding of industry standards (PCIe, NVMe, DDR)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
Bonus Points:
- Exposure to composable infrastructure or disaggregated server architectures
- Interest in AI/ML hardware accelerators and infrastructure
- Familiarity with open hardware platforms (OCP, OpenBMC)
- Understanding of power/cooling considerations in datacenter environments
- Experience with containerization and cloud infrastructure concepts

Benefits & conditions
CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
