SAP PEO (Production Engineering and Operations) consultant

As a SAP PEO (Production Engineering and Operations) consultant you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to gather and/or understand existing requirements and design solutions, manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices through thought leadership, judgement and project management skills. This role requires a strong understanding of discrete manufacturing processes for complex assemblies, master data governance, hands-on configuration experience, and excellent communication skills.

• Implement and configure: Lead the implementation of SAP PEO, including hands-on configuration and deployment of functionalities like Engineering Change Management (ECM).
• Integrate with other modules: Ensure seamless integration between PEO and other SAP modules, such as Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), and shop floor systems.
• Bridge engineering and manufacturing: Focus on core PEO tasks, including the conversion of Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) to Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM).
• Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with cross-functional teams, including business users, engineers, and other SAP functional consultants, to define requirements and provide solutions.
• Provide expertise: Act as the subject matter expert on SAP S/4HANA PEO engineering change management and manufac turing execution system (MES) features and functionalities.
• Support and training: Assist with troubleshooting, Train-the-Trainer user training, and development and testing phases of the project.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Proven experience in at least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• Hands-on configuration experience with the SAP PEO module, including BOM handling, EBOM-to-MBOM handover using Visual Enterprise Manufacturing Planner (VEMP), shop floor routings, and production models
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, digital thread concepts, and PLM integration.
• Familiarity with integrating engineering systems (PLM, PDM) with SAP ERP.
• Working knowledge of related SAP modules like Production Planning (PP) and Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PPDS).
• Experience with Engineering Change Management (ECM) and Change Impact Analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally at minimum 30%
• Bachelor’’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Preferred experience in specific industries such as: aerospace, automotive, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Knowledge of other SAP modules or tools, such as SAP MII, SAP ME, or SAP DMC a plus
• Familiarity with third-party PLM tools like Teamcenter or Windchill is a plus
• Preferred experience in regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, medical devices).
