Cloud DevSecOps Architect

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or an IT-related degree with 7-10 years’ experience\n
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, Sonar, Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure DevOps). \n
• Expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, and VA Enterprise Cloud operational requirements. \n
• Strong knowledge of security standards (NIST, RMF), ATO processes, zero trust, and vulnerability remediation\n

The Cloud DevSecOps Architect provides architecture strategies supporting resiliency, scalability, modular design patterns, and capability re-use for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Product Delivery Services (PDS), Benefits and Memorials (BAM), Memorial and Benefit Services (MBS) deliver secure, reliable, and effective Information Technology (IT) solutions that support the Department’s mission.\n \n \nResponsibilities:\n \n

• Recommend architectural changes and technology improvements to enhance security (zero trust), performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency. \n
• Integrate data analytics, AI/ML, and BI requirements into architecture and solution designs. \n
• Produce Solution Architecture Packages enabling government decisionmaking for future target architectures\n
• Design and govern CI/CD architecture including automated builds, testing (functional, performance, security), deployments, and rollback strategies. \n
• Ensure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) alignment with VA cloud compliance standards. \n
• Implement observability (“Monitoring as Code”) across infrastructure, OS, application, and integrations. \n
• Build and maintain DevSecOps pipelines supporting multiple technology stacks (.Net Core, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, etc.). \n
• Define and deliver monitoring plans, dashboards, DevSecOps maturity metrics, and automated testing reports. \n
• Ensure automated security testing, static/dynamic scanning, and compliance checks are integrated into CI/CD.\n, * Familiarity with multiple development stacks: .Net Core, Java, JavaScript frameworks, SQL, Python, Bash, Groovy. \n
• Experience leading cross-functional DevSecOps, Agile, and System Teams.\n
