Job description
- Serves as the Technical account manager on assigned accounts, managing all technical aspects including but not limited to: Life Cycle management, BOM management, customer product roadmaps, regular business reviews.
- Designs solutions based on strategic business or technical requirements of customers
- Partners with Sales teams to appropriately manage all technical aspects of customers’ programs.
- Works with customers to identify and clarify requirements to determine best solutions.
- Leverages resources in order to satisfy the technical needs and objectives of the customer.
- Provides technical expertise, using appropriate configuration tools and experience to recommend relevant systems, solutions and/or products.
- Stays current on technical specifications for hardware/software requirements, maintaining technical aptitude in the latest technology trends in order to recommend solutions for new and existing customers.
- Tracks activity utilizing appropriate tools - may include pre-sales activity, account management activity, training etc.
- Works closely with the sales enablement team and other project teams.
- Participates in training to maintain knowledge of industry standards, new technologies, and current trends.
- May serve as backup to team members, as needed.
- This job profile requires the assignment and participation in a sales compensation plan. A portion of OTE will be variable and tied to specific sales-related goals as set forth by Arrow.
- This role will require up to 25% travel within the United States and Canada.
Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 8 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
- Serves as an expert within own discipline
- Designs solutions to resolve complex issues where no solution currently exists
- Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in key technology domains
- Uses internal business tools to support engineering change control process, work order review and management and other internal processes
- Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
- Acts as senior level technical resource to other team members and junior staff
- Often leads functional teams or projects and serves as a best practice/quality resource
- Holds Certifications in one or more supplier partner technologies
- Represents the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement
- May serve as leader of others or projects
Work Arrangement:
Fully Remote: Must be able to travel to an Arrow office location as requested by Arrow leadership.
