Microsoft Endpoint / Systems Management Architect - SMA 26

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Endpoint / SCCM-Intune Architect to strengthen enterprise capabilities across Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Active Directory, application packaging and deployment, OS imaging, Microsoft 365/productivity tools, and related on-premises and cloud technologies. The role will support ongoing infrastructure modernization, operational stability, and technology enhancements within a large enterprise environment supporting approximately 30,000 computers and laptops. The consultant will provide comprehensive support across SCCM, operating system deployments, imaging, Citrix, application packaging and troubleshooting, software cataloging, ServiceNow integration, Active Directory, Operations Management Suite (OMS), Microsoft 365, Azure, SailPoint, and related processes and procedures., Infrastructure & Systems Management

• Manage and support back-end infrastructure.
• Administer Active Directory and SCCM environments.
• Perform WSUS administration and management.
• Manage Group Policy and related Windows configuration policies.
• Design, maintain, and support Operating System Deployment (OSD) solutions.
• Support server and desktop patching activities.
• Review, test, stage, and deploy patches across development, staging, and production environments.
• Manage third-party patch management solutions.
• Support antivirus solutions and security updates.
• Troubleshoot server, database, client, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Support deployments and maintain deployment/state reporting.

Cloud & Virtualization

• Support cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Work with virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Support modern endpoint technologies including Microsoft Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Nerdio.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and enhancements across the Microsoft systems-management ecosystem.

Application & Endpoint Management

• Support application packaging, deployment, compatibility assessment, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Windows desktop migrations and transformations.
• Support MDT, OSD, App-V, MDOP, and related endpoint technologies.
• Support Office/Microsoft 365 migrations and deployments.
• Assist with software cataloging and ServiceNow integration.
• Support endpoint encryption technologies such as BitLocker.
• Support endpoint security technologies such as CrowdStrike.
• Assist with asset inventory and software licensing activities.

Reporting & Database Management

• Perform database management and reporting activities.
• Create and administer SCCM dashboards using Power BI.
• Develop deployment, compliance, patching, and system-state reports.
• Support SQL-based reporting and related data-management activities.

Automation & Scripting

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for packaging, deployment, and infrastructure management.
• Utilize PowerShell for SCCM, Active Directory, Azure, Exchange, SharePoint, and related administrative tasks.
• Automate repetitive systems-management and endpoint-management processes where appropriate.

Deliverables The consultant will develop and maintain documentation and project artifacts, including: * Business process flows related to applications, Windows operating systems, and workflows.

• End-user engineering requirements.
• Test plans covering imaging, laboratory environments, and end-user experience.
• Test cases and scenarios focused on end-user experience.
• Action-item logs covering daily activities and project milestones.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.

All project source files and related deliverables will be provided to the organization upon completion.

• 10+ years of experience in an enterprise-level System Center / Cloud Architect role supporting multiple sites and business units.
• 7+ years of consulting experience designing and delivering Microsoft infrastructure solutions.

• Strong experience with:

• Windows Server

• SCCM
• Windows 10/11 desktop transformations
• Microsoft Intune
• PowerShell

• Extensive experience with Windows desktop migration, including:

• Windows design and migration
• MDT
• DDPS
• MDOP
• App-V
• OSD
• Application packaging
• Application compatibility assessment
• Office Suite migrations

• Experience in an engineering or architecture role supporting end-user and collaboration technologies, including:

• Microsoft Windows
• SCCM
• Microsoft Exchange
• Microsoft SharePoint
• Microsoft Teams
• Power BI
• Experience with AVD and Nerdio.
• Knowledge of desktop and application virtualization technologies, including VMware View Workstation and VMware ThinApp.
• Experience with endpoint encryption and security technologies, including BitLocker and CrowdStrike.
• Experience with third-party migration tools such as Quest/Dell Migration Manager (QMM).
• Strong understanding of network protocols, services, and infrastructure.
• Detailed understanding and practical experience with ITIL processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
