Embedded Software Development Manager, Customer Terminal - Device Software

As a Software Development Manager on the Customer Terminal Software Team, you will design and develop embedded software for different types of Customer Terminals. You’ll work on fault-tolerant, real-time platforms, collaborating closely with hardware, systems, cloud services, and product teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance embedded solutions.

• Plan resource allocation to ensure appropriate business and staff development goals are met.
• Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business goals.
• Provide engineering leadership to architect and deliver the best technical designs and approaches.
• Collaborate with peer teams to design suitable platform software systems and interfaces with underlying hardware.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• 4+ years of software development manager, managing teams of more than 5 software engineers experience
• 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience
• Experience with Embedded Linux, real-time operating systems (RTOS), * Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment
• 3+ years of wireless communications systems and implementation experience
• 5+ Years Experience with C/C++ development for Embedded Linux, Realtime Operating Systems.
• 2+ Years Experience with hardware/software board bring-up and fault-tolerant embedded system design.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
