The ideal candidate will design telecommunications networks, structured cabling systems, audio/visual systems, and electronic security systems for a variety of vertical building projects. This role involves collaborating with senior Technology Systems staff and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality designs while continuing to grow technical expertise. We prioritize work-life balance with benefits such as 80 hours of parental leave for the birth of a child or newly adopted child, a hybrid work schedule, and accommodations for individuals with disabilities.RequirementsExperience and EducationCandidates must have 3-7 years of experience designing telecommunications networks, structured cabling systems, audio/visual systems, and electronic security systems for vertical building projects.Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is required.An Associate’s degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.SkillsMust be proficient in Autodesk Revit, including model setup, linking, navigation, and producing Technology Systems designs from project initiation through completion.Strong time management and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Proficient with MS Office suite of productsInterpersonal SkillsCandidates must demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a positive, proactive approach to problem solving and professional development.Must work effectively with Technology Systems team members, other design disciplines, subconsultants, and clients.EligibilityMust be eligible to work in the United States.Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.DesirableExperience with federal government projects.BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification or a desire to obtain the certification as part of professional development.AVIXA CTS certification or a desire to obtain the certification as part of professional development.ResponsibilitiesDesign telecommunications networks, structured cabling systems, audio/visual systems, and electronic security systems for a variety of projects.Develop and coordinate Revit models and construction documents.Collaborate with senior Technology Systems staff to deliver quality designs and develop technical expertise.Attend client and project meetings to coordinate items related to project scope and design.
