Job description

This unique opportunity is ideal for an experienced registered funds attorney interested in combining substantive legal expertise with knowledge management, practice innovation, and legal technology. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with registered investment companies and investment advisers and a demonstrated ability to translate complex legal and regulatory developments into practical resources, workflows, and guidance for attorneys and clients. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of the registered funds knowledge management strategy in coordination with practice leadership. Develop, maintain, and organize model documents, precedent collections, forms, checklists, practice notes, training materials, and other legal resources. Monitor legal, regulatory, and market developments affecting registered funds and investment advisers and translate those developments into practical guidance and updated practice resources. Collaborate with partners, counsel, associates, and professional staff to identify workflow gaps and implement efficient knowledge solutions. Support the responsible use of legal technology and artificial intelligence in registered funds matters, including evaluating use cases and improving workflows. Identify and recommend third-party legal, regulatory, and market resources that enhance the practice’s ability to deliver efficient, current advice. Develop and deliver training on registered funds topics, legal developments, knowledge resources, technology, and efficient work practices. Prioritize and manage knowledge management projects based on legal importance, practice needs, client impact, and available resources. Assist with client-facing materials and selected legal work product related to registered funds. Promote consistent document standards, effective knowledge capture, and strong maintenance practices across the practice.

Requirements

Knowledge Management Attorney - Registered Funds Direct Counsel is seeking a Knowledge Management Attorney - Registered Funds with 5+ years of relevant experience to join a leading global law firm and its highly regarded Asset Management practice., 5+ years of relevant registered funds experience , preferably in a global or large law firm; comparable in-house experience may also be considered. J.D. from an accredited law school. Admission in good standing to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction. Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework governing registered investment companies and investment advisers. Experience with fund formation, registration, disclosure, governance, compliance, board matters, regulatory filings, and ongoing fund operations. Experience drafting, reviewing, and maintaining registered funds documents, including registration statements, board materials, compliance policies, investor disclosures, service provider agreements, forms, checklists, and precedent materials. Ability to monitor legal and market developments and translate them into clear guidance, training, and practical resources. Proficiency in using artificial intelligence and legal technology responsibly and ethically , including protecting confidentiality, verifying outputs, and exercising independent legal judgment. Excellent legal writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple knowledge initiatives simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with lawyers and professional staff across offices and practices. Benefits & conditions

The anticipated salary range for this position is $275,000-$375,000 annually , depending on qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus., +, $150,000-170,000 per year
