Job description

Administer and maintain IBM DS8000 storage systems.
Ensure high availability and optimal storage performance.
Design and implement backup and recovery strategies using GDPS.
Plan future storage capacity and performance requirements.
Ensure data integrity and compliance with security standards.
Collaborate with Mainframe and cross-functional IT teams.
Support storage infrastructure migration and modernization activities.

Requirements

810 years of relevant experience in Mainframe Storage Engineering.
Strong experience with z/OS storage environments.
Hands-on experience with IBM DS8000.
Good knowledge of GDPS, backup, and disaster recovery.
Strong understanding of storage capacity and performance management.
Knowledge of data security and integrity requirements.
REXX or Python scripting experience is a plus.
Experience with storage infrastructure migration is an advantage.
