Python Developer | Data & Analytics Platform

A technology-led investment business is looking for a Software Engineer to help build and enhance the data services that support research, analytics and operational workflows across the firm.

This is a broad engineering role sitting close to both technical and business stakeholders. You’ll work on systems that underpin reporting, reference data and analytics, helping to improve the quality, accessibility and reliability of information used across the organisation.

You’ll join a well-funded investment business where technology plays a central role in decision-making. The role offers exposure across multiple business areas, a varied workload and the opportunity to work on systems that have visible impact across the organisation.

What You Will Be Doing

• Build and maintain scalable applications that manage and distribute business-critical data.
• Develop solutions that automate data processing and lifecycle events across a range of datasets.
• Enhance internal and external reporting capabilities, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Deliver data products and analytics tools used by front-office and business teams.
• Partner with stakeholders across technology and business functions to improve data workflows and operational processes.
• Contribute to testing, deployment and engineering best practice across the development lifecycle.

• Strong Python engineering experience with a solid grasp of software design principles.
• Commercial experience developing applications in C#.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational database technologies.
• Experience working within structured development environments that incorporate testing and deployment processes.
• The ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A pragmatic approach to problem solving and improving operational efficiency.
