Job description

An exciting opportunity for a skilled database developer with expertise in data integration, reporting, and database technologies. Reporting to Solutions Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, business-focused solutions within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

You will be responsible for

Work with the Business and the Solutions Team to scope out work requests and development requirements relating to data, reporting, and integration.
Analyse business requirements, provide accurate estimates and present solutions clearly.
Evaluate, assess and recommend solutions that fit with our design philosophy.
Develop full technical specifications, prototypes and software, working with your Peers in the Development and Solutions team.
Lead integration development activities, working with the Solutions Team to turn the vision into reality.
Manage development implementation, ensuring work assigned to you is completed on schedule adhering to department quality standards and processes.
Collaborate with the Support and Test teams to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose, tested comprehensively and supportable.
Provide support and training for the Support team for in-house developed system.
Document systems and changes made clearly and thoroughly.
Work with my peers in the Development team to define and stick to standards for best practice.

Requirements

Experience of developing integration and reporting solutions using the below: + o SQL Server 2017 and above o SSAS 2017 and above o SSIS 2017 and above o SSRS 2017 and above o T-SQL and MDX o Experience with C# or VB.net Scripting o Knowledge of the Kingsway toolkit o Mulesoft (preferred)
Database design techniques and optimization
Data warehouse design methodologies
Understand ETL/Integration Best practice
Understand the principles of Dimensional Modelling
Experience with Azure Dev Ops and GIT repositories
Understanding of APIs (Mulesoft preferred)
Excellent problem-solving skills
