User Experience Designer

• Design Shopify storefronts and eCommerce experiences that balance customer needs, brand expression and commercial goals
• Turn insights and requirements into intuitive, engaging shopping journeys across discovery, product, cart and checkout experiences
• Champion user-centric and conversion-focused design, applying strong UX, UI and eCommerce principles while working within the Shopify ecosystem
• Help guide other designers and contribute to our design standards
• Collaborate closely with developers and strategists to bring ambitious storefronts to life
• Stay curious about emerging eCommerce trends, Shopify capabilities, design patterns and new approaches

• 4+ years design and agency experience
• Experience of leading projects from concept to completion, from sketched wireframes to eCommerce experiences
• Experience of delivering high quality designs across different devices such as mobile, tablet and desktops
• Proficient in Figma
• Ability to take a clients brief and business problems, ask the right questions, gain an understanding, synthesise and communicate research findings and iterate towards solutions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced delivery environment while making effective decisions, sometimes within tight time constraints
• Experience designing for accessibility
• Experience working with design systems and frameworks
