Job description

Cleared developers are scarce, and cleared developers who are comfortable shipping inside a classified network are scarcer still. Our customers ask for them regularly, usually in multiples, and usually on a timeline that does not accommodate a cold search. The applications are mission tools rather than consumer products. Fewer users, higher stakes, and a deployment path that runs through a security review rather than an app store. You will own features end to end, from the interface an analyst touches to the service behind it.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Build the front end. React and TypeScript interfaces that hold up under real analyst workflows, not demo conditions.
  • Build the services behind it. REST or GraphQL APIs in Python, Node, Java, or Go, with sensible data models and honest error handling.
  • Ship to AWS. Containerized deployment on ECS or EKS, serverless where it fits, and infrastructure as code for the resources your application depends on.
  • Write secure code. Authentication and authorization including CAC and PIV integration, input validation, secrets management, and static analysis in the pipeline.
  • Work in the open with your team. Agile delivery, code review, test coverage, and documentation that outlives your tenure.
  • Deliver inside constraints. Classified networks mean no public package pulls during deployment and a slower change cadence. The good engineers adapt rather than complain.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI is preferred and required for many of these seats. Active Secret candidates with strong depth are welcome.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Four or more years building and shipping production web applications, front end and back end.
  • Strong JavaScript or TypeScript with a modern framework, most commonly React.
  • A server-side language at depth: Python, Node, Java, or Go.
  • Working AWS knowledge and comfort with containerized deployment. STRONG PLUS

  • Prior development on a Federal, DoD, or Intelligence Community program.
  • Experience in an air-gapped or classified development environment.
  • CI/CD pipeline ownership and automated testing discipline.
  • CompTIA Security+ (Sec+ CE) or another DoD 8140 baseline certification.
  • Accessibility standards including Section 508.
