Job description
This position is for a Software Engineer Senior to support training systems sustainment, design, and development for C-130J, CV-22, and other high fidelity Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs). The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. Keeping up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools will be encouraged. This position is located at customer facilities at Hurlburt Field, Florida and may require occasional travel including both CONUS and OCONUS destinations.
As a member or our Software Engineering Team you will:

Work within an integrated product team of Hardware, Software, Systems, and Test Engineers to maintain and update Air Force Flight Simulators

Research and troubleshoot solutions to a variety of technical issues
-
Develop software solutions for flight simulator discrepancies and upgrades

Support requirements analysis, design, development, integration and test of real-time software

Support system design and architecture development for complex systems
This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.
Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical field

Demonstrated Proficiency in C / C++ Programming

Experience with Hardware integration

Full-Time Salary Range: $88300.00 - $163900.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
