Job description
Join BAE Systems Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) business area and lead the development of the nextgeneration RF software for the P8A Poseidon SelfProtection (P8ASP) program. Building on a $95million U.S. Navy contract, which is BAE s electronicwarfare solution that detects, exploits, and counters advanced missile threats, you will help shape a capability of strategic importance. As the Test Automation lead for the P8A Poseidon SelfProtection (P8ASP) program, you will drive the development of a robust, automated test framework verifies the integration of the software and requirements throughout the pod ensuring the pod s earlythreat detection and countermeasure functions meet stringent airworthiness, effectiveness, and rapidmodernization requirements for the Poseidon and future highvalue airborne assets.
In this position you will design, develop, and maintain a Pythonbased integrationtest suite that exercises the full endtoend signalprocessing chain on real hardware and in simulated environments. You will create reusable test libraries, CI/CD pipelines, and automated reporting mechanisms that enable rapid regression testing across multiple software releases. While Python is the primary language, familiarity with C and Ada will allow you to extend test harnesses into lowlevel firmware and leveraged code bases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the pod s openarchitecture components. Leveraging Agile and DevSecOps practices, you will work closely with systems, hardware, and software engineers to embed test automation early in the development lifecycle, reducing integration risk and accelerating timetoproduction.
As the Test Automation lead you will work with the U.S. Navy and other customer sites, traveling as needed to support onsite integration, troubleshoot issues, and conduct acceptance testing. You will present test results and risk assessments at customer interchange meetings, mentor junior test engineers, and champion bestinclass verification processes across the program. By delivering a scalable, maintainable automation framework, you will help safeguard the Poseidon crew, extend mission capability, and uphold BAE Systems missionWe Protect Those Who Protect Us. Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and minimum of 10 years work experience or equivalent experience in Test Automation
- Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and motivate technical teams
- Experience in embedded software development in C/C
- Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation principles
- Software engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
- Software testing, validation, and verification activities
- Understanding of Agile and DevSecOps development practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication skills and ability to contribute to customer meetings, technical reviews, and design discussions
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Master s degree in computer science or computer engineering
- Full life-cycle software development
- Customer/Subcontractor interfacing
- Experience using Git/Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence

Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
