Job description

The Junior Scrum Master guides cross-functional agile teams through sprint cycles, removes operational blockers, and champions core Agile and DevSecOps principles. This role works closely with Product Owners, engineers, and leadership to facilitate sprint events, maintain backlog transparency, and ensure continuous delivery within a cloud engineering environment., Agile Facilitation: Organize and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, release planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Team Enablement & Blocker Removal: Proactively identify and eliminate impediments, facilitate conflict resolution, and foster a collaborative, innovative environment. Backlog & Delivery Management: Assist Product Owners with backlog grooming and help the team refine user stories, establish acceptance criteria, and make accurate sprint commitments. Metrics & Transparency: Update JIRA and Confluence to track team velocity, maintain backlog transparency, and communicate release progress to management. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with fellow Scrum Masters to align on enterprise best practices, improve team velocity, and optimize DevSecOps workflows.

Requirements

Clearance & Citizenship: Active TS/SCI security clearance required prior to start; must be eligible to obtain a CI Polygraph. U.S. Citizenship required. Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience leading Agile Scrum teams within cloud, DevSecOps, or software engineering environments. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent combination of technical training and hands-on experience. Tooling Expertise: Direct, practical experience managing projects using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence). Technical Aptitude: Core understanding of systems engineering principles, software development lifecycles, and cloud implementation.
