Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Analyst with 12+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, and data visualization. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI/Tableau, data modeling, ETL, and business requirements analysis., * Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.

Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
Perform data cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
Develop KPIs, metrics, reports, and analytical models to support business decisions.
Work with data engineering teams to understand and validate ETL/ELT pipelines and data sources.
Perform root-cause analysis and investigate data discrepancies and quality issues.
Build automated reporting and analytical solutions using Python, SQL, and BI tools.
Perform data profiling, trend analysis, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis as required.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, developers, data engineers, and leadership.
Document data sources, business rules, reporting requirements, and analytical processes.
Present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Support Agile/Scrum teams and participate in requirement gathering, sprint planning, and review meetings.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to data analytics best practices.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.
Advanced experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
Strong experience with Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, and data analysis.
Experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
Strong knowledge of data visualization, reporting, and dashboard development.
Experience with data modeling, data profiling, and data quality.
Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehouse concepts.
Experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of Databricks, Spark, or Snowflake.
Experience with statistical analysis and forecasting.
Knowledge of Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
Experience with data governance, data lineage, and metadata management.
Experience working with large-scale datasets and enterprise reporting environments.
Knowledge of business intelligence best practices and KPI development.
