Job description

Ataero is seeking a Senior Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) Systems Engineer to support PMA-272 Airborne Electronic Attack Systems. The selected candidate will provide engineering expertise supporting the development, integration, testing, sustainment, and modernization of EO/IR sensing and countermeasure capabilities across Naval Aviation platforms., * Provide technical support for EO/IR systems, sensors, targeting systems, and infrared countermeasure capabilities.

Support requirements development, system integration, engineering analysis, and technical risk assessments.
Participate in system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Evaluate system performance, deficiencies, and modernization initiatives.
Support developmental and operational test activities.
Prepare engineering analyses, technical reports, and acquisition documentation. *

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 10 years supporting DoD aviation, EO/IR, sensor, or countermeasure systems.
Experience supporting NAVAIR, Naval Aviation, or military aviation programs.
Active Secret clearance required.
Military operational aviation experience highly desirable.
