Job description

A leading global financial markets firm is seeking an experienced Senior C++ Software Engineer to join its high-performance trading technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of mission-critical trading infrastructure supporting multiple asset classes and global markets.

You will work alongside experienced technologists and trading professionals to design, build, and enhance low-latency systems that power market connectivity, order execution, and real-time trading operations. The role offers significant exposure to electronic trading technologies, market structure, and cutting-edge system architecture., * Develop and maintain market data connectivity solutions for exchanges and external liquidity providers.

  • Design and enhance ultra-low-latency market data processing and order book construction components.
  • Build high-performance order entry gateways enabling direct exchange connectivity and bidirectional order flow.
  • Create and maintain exchange simulation frameworks to support testing and pre-production environments.
  • Develop real-time pricing and market data services supporting trading across asset classes.
  • Enhance order management and execution infrastructure to improve performance and scalability.
  • Contribute to the evolution of trading platform frameworks used by quantitative and systematic trading strategies.
  • Drive improvements to messaging and communication layers to support efficient, low-latency processing.
  • Partner closely with traders, technology teams, and business stakeholders to deliver robust trading solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in C++ development on Linux within performance-sensitive environments.
  • Demonstrated experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including source control, testing frameworks, debugging, and performance analysis tools.
  • Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows.
  • Experience with Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting at the system level.
  • Scripting experience using technologies such as Python and/or Bash.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional software engineering experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Financial markets or electronic trading systems experience.
  • Knowledge of one or more asset classes such as:
  • Foreign Exchange (FX)
  • Futures
  • Fixed Income
  • Experience developing exchange connectivity, market data platforms, execution gateways, or order management systems.
